I've had this crazy idea for a few months now. I wanted to create an entire scene and then shoot it from above, make it really quirky and fun. My cousin and his wife had their second child in December and decided they wanted to try something new and different for the birth announcement, and so we created this. We rigged a fairly unstable scaffold between two ladders and started shooting. Big Brother Wyatt even got in on the fun and posed "in the beach" for us. The water is a simple sheet, the sand is chenille blanket from my house. The seaweed was hand cut from material samples my mother has in her sewing studio. The bubbles were just glass pebbles more commonly used in flower arrangements. We had a ball, the entire thing turned out really fun and interesting, just another fun way to say, "We had a baby! He's healthy! He's happy! And he's awesome!"
